Version 7

Version 7 is a major update to the Tracker system that removes much of the duplication in previous versions, improves picture and photo handling and for the first time is not restricted to living at the top of the C: drive..

All people, whether they are Members, parents or even the Doctor now have entries in Personal Details which prevents data entries like addresses being duplicated and reduces the number of times the same data has to be entered . 

Group Import and Export has been added to allow blocks of people to be moved en-masse rather than one at a time.

Badge pictures have been moved to a separate folder to reduce the size of the Tracker database file.

Although peoples photographs are still held internally the process has been made more efficient by the use of Binary Large Objects reducing the database size.

You can now choose whether to include Adults in reports and certain form views such as the programme.

Membership No has been added to the Personal Details.

Badges have been updated.

Activity Zones have been updated.

Version 6

In addition the following features have been introduced in Version 6:

  • All the new 2007 badges and requirements have been included.
  • To make Tracker usable by more than 1 Section the philosophy of default Group management has been changed. Clicking on the Section Name box now opens the Options menu to set the default Group. The Edit Group selection from the misc menu now opens the Section Details form to enter details of a Group, Unit or Section.
  • All standard Scouting appointments and roles are now included.
  • Enhanced Appointments form to allow appointments to be deleted and old appointments to be replaced by standard appointments.
  • Added capability to handle discontinued badges by making changes to Badges and Achievements forms to put up discontinued label and line through picture. Discontinued badges can still be allocated on an individual basis but not as a group allocation.
  • To be able to identify members from non-members the Member tickbox on the Personal Details page has changed. All members of the Scout Asociation (Fee payers) both adult and junior should be identified by ticking the box. Non members or associate members should leave this box clear. Young members are now identified where required by section and age.
  • Changed Main Menu so that clicking on the Group Name banner brings up Select Details form at default Group to enable additional information to be held on any Unit, Group or Section .
  • Added to Option Form to identify the Users main Default Unit, Group or Section.
  • All Reports updated to improve displayed data.
  • Report Menu updated to include Start and End Date. Selected reports now use this information to decide which Group/Unit to report on.
  • Multiple Groups can now be selected for reporting purposes.
  • Section Details form allows addition of new Groups, deletion and editing of Group names and added tick box to allow default Group to be set from the same form.
  • A Persons name is the link to the default user and selecting a name copies their details into the Contact details fields, these can however be changed by the user afterwards.
  • Fixed bug in Census report which prevented addresses with empty fields displaying.
  • Added Programme zones for Scout, Cub and Beaver sections.
  • Added a Reminder generator report accessed from the fees form for sending out to parents.
  • Added Permit holder selection to Night's away panel on meeting form.
  • Added address to parents details on Activity Contact Details form.
  • Introduced Parental Consent form to meetings for Nights Away activities.
  • Changed Badge select on Achievement form to show badges associated with the name selected and added code to prevent the name and badge being changed once selected.
  • Added Lock facility to the Personal Details form to prevent fields being inadvertantly changed or deleted. Added new Unlock button to enable changes if required.
  • Made delete button on Personal Details form only available when form unlocked.
  • Corrected a minor error Achievement form that incorrectly labeled Show button when Hide/Show button clicked.
  • New Personal Details Selection form to allow more control over which details are viewed. Currently Adult/Member, Active/Inactive, Group, Appointment and Section.
  • Person select drop down boxes updated to allow adults to be selected as well as young members.
  • New facility to give user the option to merge personal data during import.

Version 5

  • The last Admin Level user can no longer be deleted from the database.
  • Fixed problem where user could not add Parent or Medical Details.
  • Added button on Misc form to correct any associated problems in the user's data.
  • Change Password reset to allow Adminers to reset passwords without previous password being required.
  • Implemented form NAN
  • Added Training tab to Personal Details form to show training and awards record for that person.
  • Added Event passport report and additional Home contact field to Meeting form. Home contact field only shows if Nights Away or Events box is ticked.
  • Added Event passport to Reports Menu.
  • Updated Achievement form to add Leaders badges and to change labels automatically if Leaders badge shown.
  • Corrected fault that prevented the update of the Badge name box on the Achievements form.
  • Added Section to Personal form for direct identification of members Section.
  • Introduced new Leaders/Adults Section.
  • Added adult related awards and added Adult button to Badges form.
  • Added Adult training modules and Young Leader training modules.

Version 4

Note: Import and Export have been updated to include new multi-section information. This means that although Tracker 4 can read files produced by previous versions. Tracker versions before version 4 can not read Tracker 4 or later versions files. It is strongly suggested that all Users upgrade.
 

  •  Form sizes reduced to fit on PCs with smaller screen sizes.
  • Assistant Cub, Scout and Beaver Leaders added to list of appointments.
  • Size of census form reduced to fit smaller printer settings.
  • TRACKER font on Main Menu changed to graphic to prevent corruption if font not loaded.
  • Scout, Cub and Beaver Record Cards added.
  • Members can be added to a badge either singly or all remaining members in one go, inserting today’s date as the start date.
  • Members achievement record can now be viewed directly from the Badge form. 
  • Requirements sub-form on Achievement form no longer scrolls back to start when ticked.
  • Badge’s Section to list of Badges shown on Badge Stock form.
  • Alerts listed on startup so that 1 alert cannot mask any others.
  • An option for Members Birthdays to be alerted has been added. 
  • Members Birthdays that fall during an event are shown.
  • Date for Moving-On added to report (ie when person is actually 14 etc)
  • Adult helpers Next of Kin details can now be held and their appointments recorded.
  • Programme Zones added to Review report
  • The password tab on the Personal Details form now shows if a password is set.
  • Facility provided to hide and view presented badges.
